The week of 16th to 20th December will be swim clinics for our junior squads. All will be outside, Gold will come in early at 4pm and there will be no 5-6pm Green squad. We invite swimmers to attend all days if they wish too. Don't forget sunscreen!

Turn + Burn - RSC Training Camp

We will be hosting a Turn + Burn training camp at Aqua Jetty from Tuesday 1st through to Saturday 5th October for our entire club.

Our junior squads will have swim clinics including a nutritional seminar, and our senior squads (Gold and above) will have increased training loads and special guests - then the week will finish with our entire club coming together for breakfast, relays and fun!

Please note that training times will be altered for all squads including Stingrays. The finer details are being worked now, and we hope to have the schedule out to members in next week’s Sting newsletter (19th September) - so keep an eye out then!

RSC AGM + Awards Night

Join us for an evening of celebration and reflection on the 23/24 season at Rockingham Swimming Club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Awards Night. This special event will kick off at 5:30pm with the AGM, where we will review the past year's achievements, discuss future plans and elect new committee members. 

Following the AGM, we'll dive into the Awards Night festivities, where we'll honour our outstanding swimmers, coaches and volunteers. This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our club members and to enjoy a night of camaraderie and recognition. 

Highlights of the Evening:

AGM Proceedings: Annual Review, Financial Reports, and committee elections.

Awards Presentation: Recognition of top performers, most improved swimmers and special accolades. 

Social Time: Mingle with fellow members, coaches and families. 

Light refreshments will be served, and we encourage all members, families, and friends to attend and support our swimmers.

Peak Preparation Seminar #4 - Optimising Sleep in Young Athletes

We are pleased to bring our members the fourth installment of the Seminars with Dr Sacha Fulton from Peak Preparation, which are held in conjunction with Kwinana Swimming Club.

In Seminar #4, Sacha will be unlocking the potential of sleep in enhancing athletic performance in young athletes.

Dr Fulton’s sleep optimization curriculum covers the importance of sleep cycles, quality rest, and the impact of sleep on cognitive functions and physical recovery. Learn how to create an ideal sleep environment and routine to ensure athletes are well-rested and competition-ready.
This presentation is essential to all young athletes and their parents, who are trying to optimize sleep. Spaces are limited and all who attend will walk away with an in-depth understanding of the following:

  • Sleep science

  • Why sleep is important

  • Consequences of sleep deprivation

  • Barriers for a good nights’ sleep

  • Enhancing sleep hygiene

In Person Seminar - Please note this will not be available virtually, so we strongly encourage you to attend in person.
